Wheat, Maize (Makka), Barley, Bajra, Jowar, Soya Bean Price 23.08.2021 –

Recent reports estimate that Grain production in India will rise 3.74% to hit a new record of 308.65 million tonnes. The government of states of Haryana and Punjab are pushing farmers towards crop diversification from paddy and wheat cycle to other crops. Also, on a positive note, India re-emerges as a rice and wheat exporter.

However, due to low and erratic monsoon, the food production in Inda might be hit drastically. Despite the untimely rain, the sowing in India has picked up this year.
