USD/ INR: Indian Rupee Forex Report 23 February

USD/INR- The Indian Rupee settled at 72.53 at 7:45 PM INR on 23 February. The Indian rupee traded between 72.308 and 72.557 today. On the other hand, the dollar index rises after yesterday’s fall. Accordingly, it’s value increased by 0.17% and settled at 90.17 as of 8:00 PM EST Tuesday. 

USD/ INR: Oil Prices

The US WTI crude oil prices fell sharply today. However, with the ongoing oil demand concern and the growing coronavirus pandemic, it is doubtful if the OPEC+ can handle the steep fall. Accordingly, crude oil decreased by 0.34% at 8:00 PM on 23 February to trade at USD 61.49 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude trading at USD 65.22 per barrel as it was traded 0.03% lower on Tuesday.

USD/ INR- Gold Prices

Precious metal prices began this week on a high but fell today. Accordingly, gold futures decreased by 0.09% or 41.00 Rupees to settle at 456860.00 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Likewise, Silver futures fell by 1149 Rupees or 1.56% to settle at Rs. 69667.00 per kg. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 mutants kept precious metals’ prices on edge this year. In the international market, Spot Gold was trading at USD 1808 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 28.08 per ounce.

USD/ INR- Sensex Today

The BSE Sensex ended in the green on 23 February. Accordingly, Sensex increased by 0.01% or 7.09 points. Thereby ending the session at 49,751.41 at 4:10 PM IST Tuesday. Similarly, the NIFTY increased by 0.22% or 32.10 points and ended up at 14707.80.
