NSE NIFTY50 and BSE SENSEX Gains Consecutively

Despite Financial market opening on a flat note, it gains in the later session to close in the green for 5th consecutive day. BSE Sensex climbs 187 points to end at 36674 nearing the 37000 levels. At the same time, NSE Nifty50 soars 36 points in today’s session to close at 10799 just an inch away from 10800 levels.

Investor sentiments were high with strong rally registering gains. Banking stocks pushed the market high with concerns over moratorium overhyped. Also, Auto and Metals stocks witnessed buying by foreign investors during the session. The market mood uplifted with the optimism of COVID-19 vaccine, improving macroeconomic conditions. Analysts advise to look out for new modifications and invest in short-term till Nifty50 surge over 10900 levels. Rupee loses the continuous rally with strong US Dollar amid dropping crude prices.

Top Gainers: S&P BSE Sensex and Nifty50

In the BSE market, Assoc Stone surged the most by 20%. Other top gainers include Dhunseri Investments, BGR Energy and Mysore Petro rising by 19.99%, 19.96% and 18.31% respectively. In the NSE market, Dhunseri Investments rises the highest by 20%. Following that, Kamat Hotels, Mangalore Chemicals and Tera Software surged by 19.93%, 17.88% and 17.11% respectively.

On the BSE Sensex index, Bajaj Finance topped the list by 7.84%. Other gainers include IndusInd Bank, Infosys, ICICI Bank and Asian Paints 6.10%, 4.01%, 3.84% and 2.17% respectively. On NSE Nifty50 index, Bajaj Finserv soars the highest by 4.85%. Subsequently, Eicher Motors, Axis Bank, Zee Entertainment Ltd. and Britannia gained by 3.53%, 3.08%, 3% and 1.49% respectively.

Losers: S&P BSE Sensex and Nifty50

In the BSE market, Pecos Hotels dropped the highest by 19.98%. Other top losers include Spicy Entertainment, Rishi Techtex and BCL Limited dropping by 18.48%, 11.14% and 9.03% respectively. In the NSE market, KSS hit the worst by 12.50%. Also, RKEC Projects, FCS Software and Tips Industries slumped by 11.56%, 9.09% and 7.73% respectively.

On BSE Sensex index, NTPC loses the most by 2.78%. Other losers include ITC, ONGC, M&M and L&T losing by 2.73%, 2.15%, 1.86% and 0.80% respectively. On NSE Nifty50 index, Adani Ports slumps by 3.76%. Alongside, Power Grid Corp, Grasim, Tata Steel and Dr Reddy Labs dropped by 2.75%, 2.73%, 2.54% and 1.76% respectively.

FII and DII

Foreign Institutional Investors invested a net value of INR 829.9 crores in the domestic financial market, making a positive impact tracking consecutive gaining sessions. Foreign investors bought stocks of value INR 6580.15 crores and sell-off INR 5750.25 crores raising hopes for a swift recovery.

Domestic Institutional Investors withdrew a net value of INR 784.47 crores from the equity market booking profits after hitting high levels. Local investors bought a total of INR 3512.24 crores and disposed-off INR 4296.71 crores making a dent in the market and losing hopes over uncertainty in future operations.
