Haryana reported 389 new COVID-19 infections today. Total Coronavirus cases tally now stands at 5986. Active cases as on date are at 3644. Total of 72 COVID-19 patients cured today. Sadly, 12 fatalities confirmed in Haryana today reporting highest single-day death toll.
COVID-19 Doubling Rate in Haryana still stands at 7 days
COVID-19 continues to create Havoc in the state. Especially Gurugram district that has recently witnessed a spike in new cases.
Haryana COVID-19 District Wise Report
Gurugram District remains the worst affected with over 2737 confirmed cases. Of the total positive cases, 191 recorded today. Following that, Faridabad and Sonipat Districts report a total of 929 and 502 Coronavirus cases respectively. 74 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Faridabad. Meanwhile, Sonipat District did not report any fresh COVID-19 cases today.
COVID-19 Testing
So far, Haryana has conducted 162967 COVID-19 tests. Presently, it is conducting up to 6429 tests per million population. Out of total samples sent 151060 were negative while the report for 5939 samples is awaited.
Death Rate and Cured Cases in Haryana
The fatality rate in the state increased to 1.07% from 0.93% averaged yesterday. Sadly, the state has recorded 64 deaths till date. Total recovered cases jumped to 2260.
Sanitizer Licencing a dilemma in Haryana
Ayush approved ayurvedic manufacturing units to prepare sanitizers and disinfectants following the COVID-19 outbreak. Recently, FAO pointed out that the alcohol-based sanitizers fall under drug category, thereby questioning Ayush regarding the approval. Subsequently, questions were raised regarding the authority of issuing licences. Currently, the Drug Control Department (FAO) and Ayush are under spite for the same.
