Prices of Basmati varieties increased by 1-2 Rupees a kg today. Closure of rice mills in Delhi till the 15th of November 2019 due to government order on pollution control was responsible for the increase. Supply of decreased thereby pushing the prices. This temporary increase came as a relief to farmers. 1121 Paddy was sold at INR 2700-2800 per quintal in average. 1509 Paddy was sold at INR 2300-2450 per quintal. 1401 paddy was selling at INR 2350-2450 per quintal.
