Wheat, Bajra, Jowar, Barley and Maize Prices as on 13.08.2019

According to data released by agriculture ministry wheat production in India has increased to more than 101 million tonnes for 2019 crop harvest year. Production has increased by 1.3% from previous year but the overall food production in India is down from previous year due to low production of pulses and coarse grains. Augmentation in progress of wheat gave Government a cerebral torment to ensure farmers get least assistance cost for their yields.

Globally prices of wheat and corn/maize have seen a fall since US Department of Agriculture published their monthly report confirming higher planting and production of wheat and corn in the country. Futures of wheat and corn fell by over 6% since the report was published.
