USD/ INR: Indian Rupee Forex Report 22 February

USD/INR- The Indian Rupee settled at 72.51 at 7:45 PM INR on 22 February. The Indian rupee traded between 72.285 and 72.590 today. On the other hand, the dollar index begins the week with a fall. Accordingly, it’s value decreased by 0.14% and settled at 90.24 as of 8:19 PM EST Monday. 

USD/ INR: Oil Prices

The US WTI crude oil prices rise today backing up last week’s rise. However, with the ongoing oil demand concern and the growing coronavirus pandemic, it is doubtful if the OPEC+ can maintain the rise. Accordingly, crude oil by 2.60% at 8:32 PM on 22 February to trade at USD 60.78 per barrel globally. On the other hand, Brent Crude trading at USD 64.24 per barrel as it was traded 2.11% higher on Monday.

USD/ INR- Gold Prices

Precious metal prices began this week on a high. Accordingly, gold futures increased by 1.24% or 573.00 Rupees to settle at 46770.00 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Likewise, Silver futures rose by 265.00 Rupees or 0.56% to settle at Rs. 68587 per kg. The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the COVID-19 mutants kept precious metals’ prices on edge this year. In the international market, Spot Gold was trading at USD 1774 per ounce in New York. On the other hand, Silver traded at USD 26.94 per ounce.

USD/ INR- Sensex Today

The BSE Sensex ended in the red on 22 February. Accordingly, Sensex decreased by 2.25% or 1145.44 points. Thereby ending the session at 49,744.32 at 4:10 PM IST Monday. Similarly, the NIFTY decreased by 2.04% or 306.05 points and ended up at 14,675.70.
