Basmati prices are heading towards a downfall in expectation of new harvest just a couple of months away. Prices fell by INR 2 per kg in almost all varieties. Liquidity in the market has been a problem for the whole season and is now taking a toll on prices of basmati rice. USD getting stronger might have an impact on non basmati prices in the near future however, as of now the prices of Non-Basmati remain unchanged since the last update.
