CMO Asia identifies and celebrates outstanding brand building and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grainmart.in\/news\/schemes-for-marketing-assistance-and-technology-upgradation-in-msmes\/\">marketing<\/a> initiatives of organizations, teams, and individuals.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-about-simply-fresh\">About Simply Fresh<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Two Indian software engineers founded Simply Fresh in 2013 aiming to use precise <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grainmart.in\/news\/soil-less-farming-using-hydroponic-type-techniques-not-necessarily-organic\/\">farming techniques<\/a> based on European standards. Accordingly, it produces a wide range of medicinal plants and fresh produce at its greenhouse in Hyderabad. Also, it has set up India\u2019s largest 140-acre \u2018Plant Factory\u2019 in Telangana. Mr Sachin Darbarwar, Founder and CEO of Simply Fresh India, expressed his gratitude for receiving the award. Further, he added that the recognition had encouraged them to work hard and provide better quality products to customers through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grainmart.in\/news\/understanding-sustainable-agriculture-the-way-to-better-future\/\">sustainable agriculture<\/a> practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company was started in Shamirpet on a 9-acre farm which catered to Retail and Horeca segments in local markets. Within a year, the firm tapped export opportunities and realized the potential. Further, in 2018, it raised around USD 20 million through private equity investors. After that, it expanded its facility to Arjunpatla, Siddipet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-the-firm-works\">How the Firm Works?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The company undertakes profiling &amp; nutrient management of plants in climate-controlled greenhouses. These have retractable roofs &amp; walls along with growing systems like benches, gutters, pots, etc. Also, it leverages Artificial Intelligence (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grainmart.in\/news\/technology-boosting-farmers-output-and-promoting-sustainable-farming-in-india\/\">AI<\/a>) through its proprietary software Farm in A Box (FiAB) which tracks the life cycle of plants. Moreover, it monitors the plant from seeding, manages its nutrient level requirement at each stage of growth. Besides, it also supports fertigation and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grainmart.in\/news\/telangana-cm-directs-officials-to-prepare-an-action-plan-for-irrigation-projects-alongside-krishna-and-godavari-rivers\/\">irrigation<\/a> system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In all, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grainmart.in\/news\/covid-to-change-consumer-behaviour-permanently-firms-need-to-tailor-brands-survey\/\">customers<\/a> demanding nutritious and chemical-free agricultural produce, the opportunities for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grainmart.in\/news\/government-of-india-funding-agri-start-ups-with-24-85-crore-fund\/\">agri-start <\/a>ups have increased in India.
