On Monday, the rupee reached the highest of 73.290 and the lowest at 73.444. Further, the dollar index rose by 0.31% and was at 93.46. The US stimulus package and uncertainty over Brexit continue to hold the market participants on edge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-usd-inr-oil-prices\">USD\/ INR: Oil Prices <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The US WTI crude rose by 0.42% or 0.17 points and was at USD 41.10 per barrel at 09:47 PM GMT on 19 October. On the other hand,\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.grainmart.in\/news\/brent-touches-five-month-high-due-to-30-cuts-in-supply-from-abu-dhabi\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brent\u00a0<\/a>Crude also increased by 0.05% or 0.02 points and was at USD 42.95 per barrel. The price rise wasn&#8217;t substantial as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grainmart.in\/news\/australian-food-exports-to-drop-by-10-owing-to-demand-downturn-and-trade-tensions-with-china\/\">demand<\/a> concern looms among the investors following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/\">COVID-19<\/a> case spike in the US and Europe. Also, the oil prices might be hit further as the fear regarding the second wave of the pandemic is growing, worries OPEC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-usd-inr-gold-prices\">USD\/ INR-  Gold Prices  <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Gold futures started this week on a positive note by gaining on Monday. Accordingly, December gold futures increased by 0.24% or 123.00 points to Rs. 50,670 per 10 grams on the multi-commodity exchange. Similarly, Silver futures rose by 1.06% or 654.00 points to Rs. 62,330 per kg. In the\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.grainmart.in\/news\/msmes-reach-global-markets-through-online-platforms\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">global market<\/a>, gold futures traded at around USD 1,909.00. At the same time, Silver traded 1.43% higher at USD 24.76 per ounce. The rise is attributed to yesterday&#8217;s weak dollar and the alarming rise in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grainmart.in\/news\/coronavirus-covd-19-live-cases-tracker-john-hopkins\/\">coronavirus cases<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-usd-inr-sensex-on-19th-october\">USD\/ INR- Sensex on 19th October<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Sensex started the week positively by settling in green. That is, Sensex rose by 1.12% and saw a 448.62 point increase. Accordingly, it ended at 40,431.60 at 4:40 PM IST on 19th October. Similarly, the NIFTY rose by 0.794% or 110.60 points and ended up at 11,873.05.
